Incident Summary – Night Shift Tuesday 25th October

 

Water leak – Black Horse Lane, York

Time of call: 1713 hours

A crew from York has been called to water leaking from a boiler in a residential flat. This resulted in flooding to 4 adjacent flats and 2 flats below. The crew isolated the electrics and water in the flat of origin and assisted in mopping up. Incident left with management company. Our crew used small tools.

 

False alarm – Back Lane, Reeth

Time of call: 1830 hours

A crew from Reeth has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.

 

Fuel leak – Raleigh Street, Scarborough

Time of call: 1844 hours

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with a car leaking fuel on a public road. The Fiat had leaked approximately half a litre of fuel and the crew used absorbent pads. The incident was left with the Police.

 

Road traffic collision – Station Road, Upper Poppleton

Time of call: 1917 hours

A crew from Acomb has dealt with a road traffic collision involving a Toyota Prius which had collided with a parked car. No persons were trapped or injured. Crew made the vehicle safe using hand tools and left incident in hands of Police.

 

False alarm – Manham Hill, Eastfield

Time of call: 2038 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property.

This was a false alarm due to steam from a shower.

 

Rubbish fire - Station Road, Cayton

Time of call: 2219 hours

2 crews from Scarborough have tackled a large bonfire of waste vegetation which had been left unattended. They used 1 hosereel, ceiling hooks and lighting.

*This incident remains open for revisit on Wednesday morning *

 

False alarm – Hookstone Park, Harrogate

Time of call: 2221 hours

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 

False alarm – Cammock Lane, Settle

Time of call: 2228 hours

A crew from Settle has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

 

False alarm - Beagle Ridge Drive, York

Time of call: 0533 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a retail property. This was a false alarm due to the activation of a security smoke cloak system.

 

False alarm - Low Hall Lane, Catterick Garrison

Time of call: 0552 hours

A crew from Colburn has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to deodorant spray.
