Small fire – Cod Beck Reservoir, Osmotherley

Time of call: 1702 hours

A crew from Northallerton has dealt with a camp fire left unattended. They have used a knapsack sprayer to extinguish.

 

Small fire – Mill Lane, Tadcaster

Time of call: 1800 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has dealt with a small amount of rubbish on fire in woodland. The cause was deliberate and the crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish.

 

Bin fire – Primrose Avenue, Filey

Time of call: 1805 hours

A crew from Scarborough has dealt with a large wheelie bin on fire. The cause was deliberate and 1 hosereel jet was used to extinguish.

 

False alarm – Wigginton Road, York

Time of call: 1811 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to contaminants from the manufacturing process.

 

Car fire – Outgang Lane, York

Time of call: 1913 hours

Crews from Acomb and Huntington have dealt with Nissan on fire. The vehicle suffered 100% fire, heat and smoke damage to the whole of the vehicle. The cause was deliberate and crews used 1 hosereel and 1 breathing apparatus.

A crew from York has dealt with a Land Rover on fire. The vehicle suffered 100% fire, heat and smoke damage to the whole of the vehicle. The cause was deliberate and crew used 1 hosereel jet and 2 breathing apparatus.

 

Animal rescue – A170, Welburn

A crew from Helmsley has come across a loose horse at the side of the road. The crew managed to round the horse up and secure it in a nearby field.

 

False alarm – Main Street, Heslington

Time of call: 1933 hours

Crews from Huntington and Acomb have been called to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

False alarm – Herdborough Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2142 hours

A crew from Scarborough has been called to reports of a fire in a rear garden. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given to the occupier.
