Car fire – Back Lane, Swainby

Time of call: 1754 hours

A crew from Stokesley has been called to a car fire. The land Rover suffered fire damage to the engine compartment only. The crew used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hosereel and hand tools. The cause is believed to be a faulty starter motor.

False alarm – off Scurragh Lane, Moulton

Time of call: 1948 hours

A crew from Richmond has been called to reports of an excavator on fire. On arriving at the scene this was found to be a false alarm due to a bonfire under supervision close to an excavator. Advice was given to the owner.

Fire in the open – Seamer Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2037 hours

2 crews from Scarborough have tackled a fire on a building site. This involved approximately 50 sqm of pallets containing various plumbing supplies. All were destroyed by fire. The crews have used 2 hosereels. The cause is deliberate.

False alarm – Westgate, Ripon

Time of call: 2105 hours

A crew from Ripon has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a flat. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Central Drive, Northallerton

Time of call: 2326 hours

2 crews from Northallerton have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
