Smell of smoke in lift – Colburn Lane, Colburn

Time of call: 17:46

Appliances from Colburn and Richmond attended this incident but this turned out to be a false alarm due to a faulty lift, crews investigated the area with a thermal imaging camera before leaving the incident with lift engineers.

Automatic Fire Alarm – The Crescent, Green Hammerton

Time of call: 18:18

A single crew from Acomb attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm due to a water leak.

Van Fire – A64 Whitwell on the Hill

Time of call: 18:28

Crews from Huntington and Malton attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm due to steam from engine coolant.

Camper Van off the road – Butter Tubs Pass

Time of call: 19:28

Crews from Hawes and Reeth attended this incident which was a camper van in a precarious position on the side of the road; all occupants were out of the vehicle upon arrival of the fire service.  Crews stabilised the vehicle and made the scene safe.

Smoke sighted in the open – Water Lane, York

Time of call: 19:53

A single crew from Acomb attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm and was confirmed as controlled burning.

Fire in the open – Forest Road, Northallerton

Time of call: 22:35

A single crew from Northallerton attended this incident which turned out to be a false alarm and was confirmed as controlled burning.

Smell of burning in property – Coach Road, Sleights, Whitby

Time of call: 22:49

Whitby and Lythe appliances attended this incident which turned out to be a small fire in a light fitting and was out on arrival of the fire crews.

Road traffic collision – Bridlington road, Hunmanby

Time of call: 06:41

Appliances from Scarborough and Filey attended this incident and extricated 1 male driver who was trapped in his vehicle, crews used hydraulic cutting equipment, small tools, stabilisation gear and the sharps kit.
