Incident Summary – Night Shift Wednesday 28th November

False alarm – Acomb Road, York

Time of call: 1659 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to damp.

Fire – Sicklinghall

Time of call: 1858 hours

Crews from Harrogate and Wetherby have been called to a fire in an under stairs cupboard in a domestic property. This resulted in slight fire damage to wiring on a consumer board. The cause is believed to be an electrical fault. Crew used a thermal imaging camera for inspection only.

False alarm – St Helen’s Square, York

Time of call: 1916 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector.

Dangerous structure – Main Street, High Bentham

Time of call: 1944 hours

A crew from Bentham has made safe a 4ft by 10ft corrugated tin garage roof which was in a dangerous position due to high winds. Crew used hand tools and a triple extension ladder to remove the roof.

False alarm – Walmgate, York

Time of call: 1944 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the detection system.

False alarm – Blossom Street, York

Time of call: 2010 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to vaping.

False alarm – Scalby Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2127 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Haxby Road, New Earswick

Time of call: 2136 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault.

Small fire – Broughton, Skipton

Time of call: 2248 hours

A crew from Skipton has been called to a fire in the open near a commercial property. The fire was out on arrival. Inspection only carried out. Incident left with Police.

A crew from Harrogate has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown fault.

Assist Ambulance – Whitby

Time of call: 0429 hours

A crew from Whitby has been called to assist Ambulance crew to transfer a male casualty from a domestic property to the ambulance. Manpower used.
