False alarm – New Lane, Huntington

Time of call: 1927 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to vapour from an e-cigarette.

 

Assist ambulance – The Crescent, Green Hammerton

Time of call: 1949 hours

A crew from Acomb has been called to assist an ambulance crew with an elderly lady who had fallen behind her bedroom door. The crew have used small tools to gain entry to the property and the lady was left ini the care of the ambulance crew.

 

False alarm – Malden Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 2001 hours

A crew from Harrogate has investigated a strong smell of smoke in the area. A full search was carried out but no fire located.

 

False alarm – The Bailey, Skipton

Time of call: 2011 hours

A crew from Skipton has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector head.

 

Water leak – Bishopthorpe Road, York

Time of call: 2149 hours

A crew from York has dealt with water leaking into a 4th floor apartment. Crews were unable to ascertain the source of the crew so have isolated the water supply to the floor as a precaution. Incident left with building firm to rectify.

 

False alarm – Wentworth Way, York

Time of call: 2208 hours

A crew from Acomb has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to smoke from cooking.

 

False alarm – New Street, Tadcaster

Time of call: 2209 hours

A crew from Tadcaster has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to insects in the detector head.

 

Rubbish fire – Turner Close, York

Time of call: 2210 hours

A crew from Huntington has dealt with a fire in the open on a play area. The cause was deliberate and the crew used a wildfire pack to extinguish the fire.

 

Rubbish fire – A19, Easingwold

Time of call: 2219 hours

A crew from Easingwold has dealt with a rubbish fire in the open approximately 2.5m by 2.5m. The cause was controlled burning left unattended and the crew used 1 hosereel jet.

 

False alarm – Minster Walk, York

Time of call: 2249 hours

A crew from Huntington has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to

 

False alarm – Columbus Ravine, Scarborough

Time of call: 2253 hours

A crew from Scarborough have been called to reports of a car on fire following a single vehicle road traffic collision. This was a false alarm. No fire and no persons trapped. Incident left with police and ambulance. No action by Fire crew.
