Incident Summary - Nightshift 29th June

30th June 2016

AFA  - Scott Road, Selby

Time of call: 19:34

Crews from Selby attended an AFA at a commercial address. The alarm activated due to steam, no action was taken by the crew on scene.  

Property Fire – Broughton Road, Thornton in Craven, Skipton

Time of call: 21:11

2 Fire Appliances from Skipton were mobilised to a property where a dishwasher had caught fire. The fire was out on arrival of the crew. Crews used a thermal imaging camera and small tools at the scene. The cause of the fire was thought to have been electrical.

AFA – Cambridge Street, Harrogate

 Time of call: 21:53

 A fire crew from Harrogate attended an alarm sounding at a property, the alarm was due to a fault on the system.

RTC – A168, Thonrton Le Beans

 Time of call: 00:51

Fire crews from Northallerton attended an RTC between a car and a HGV. On arrival all occupants of the vehicles were out and were being treated on scene by paramedics. No action was taken by the fire service at the incident.

Fire – Cropton Lane, Cropton

 Time of call: 01:44

Crews from Kirkbymoorside, Pickering and Helmsley attended a fire to a pheasant hatchery. The building measured approx. 15m by 15m. Crews used 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire. The fire caused 100% fire damage to the building.

AFA – High Street, Tadcaster

 Time of call: 02:20

Crews from Tadcaster attended an AFA at a commercial premise on High Street in Tadcaster. After investigation the alarm had activated due to a fault on the system. No action taken by fire crew.

AFA – New Lane, Huntington, York

 Time of call: 03:36

Crews from Huntington and York attended an AFA which on investigation was set off due to fumes from an electronic cigarette.

Smoke in Property – Thorn Nook, York

 Time of call: 04:31

Crews from York and Huntington attended an incident where there were reports of smoke in the property. On arrival crews found this was due to cooking fumes from within the property.
