Incident Summary Nightshift Monday 8th February

Round up of incidents for Night Shift 8th February 2016

1738 Hours – Ainderby Gardens, Romanby

Northallerton crews attended a transit van on fire. Cause was believed deliberate at this stage and police are investigating.

1745 Hours – Tadcaster Road, Dringhouses, York

York crews attended an automatic fire alarm activation and found that it was due to a fault on the detector head.

1809 Hours – Pale Lane, Carleton, Skipton

Vauxhall Corsa stuck in flood water. Crews from Skipton attended and rescued 2 occupants using water rescue equipment and wading poles.

1903 Hours – Mount View Close, Falsgrave, Scarborough

Scarborough crew were requested by police to assist them in gaining entry to a property where 2 elderly residents had fallen. Paramedics were also in attendance to give any medical assistance required.

1934 Hours – Mulgrave Castle Road, Lythe

Crews from Lythe were called to an automatic fire alarm activation and found it to be the result of cooking fumes.

2046 Hours – Danesmead Close, York

Crews from York, Huntington and Acomb were called to reports of smoke in a flat in a 3 storey property. When they arrived they found that this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

2227 Hours – Salmon Lane, Snape

Workshops on fire involving acetylene cylinders. Crews from Bedale, Masham, Ripon, Boroughbridge Water Bowser, Thirsk, Northallerton, Harrogate, Leyburn and Colburn attended.

2351 Hours – Princess Royal Park, Weaponness, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough attended an AFA from a residential property to find that it was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

0238 Hours – Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough attended reports of smoke issuing from building. Upon investigation this was found to be a false alarm due to a portable cosmetic smoke machine which had been left on.

0411 Hours – Harrogate Road, Ripon

Crews from Ripon attended a smell of burning in a property to find that it was caused by an overheated lighting tube.
