Marshall Way, Ripon  Time 08:20

 

 

 

Crews from Ripon attended a fire at a commercial property to an industrial oven. When crews arrived the fire was out as staff had used a fire blanket. The crews investigated the area to ensure no fire had spread. The crews gave safety advice to the manager before leaving.

 

 

 

Shackleton Close, Whitby  Time 09:18

 

 

 

A leaking pipe was reported at a property so crews from Whitby attended and isolated the electrics and water to property. The crews gave advice to occupiers for engineers to attended before switching back on.

 

 

 

Wood Street, Norton  Time 10:38

 

 

 

Crews from Malton attended a chimney fire on Wood Street. When the crews arrived the chimney was well alight. Crews used hearth equipment initially to investigate the chimney and then ladders to access the fire from the roof. The crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and will revisit the property later today for a safety check.

 

 

 

Church Lane Thornton-Le-Dale  Time 10:45

 

 

 

A chimney was on fire following a build up of resin from logs in the flue. Crews from Pickering dismantled the hearth to investigate the chimney and confirmed the fire was out at this point. Advice was then given to the occupiers for safe use and home risk assessment was carried out.

 

 

 

A19 Deighton  Time 11:25

 

 

 

A two vehicle road traffic collision occurred today involving a Land Rover and Peugeot. The driver of the Land Rover was out on arrival of our crews. Two female occupants of the Peugeot, one had managed to release themselves, the other casualty needing to be released by fire crews from Acomb and York. Removing the roof of the car using hydraulic cutting equipment the female casualty could then be released. Both casualties were then taken to hospital by road ambulance.

 

 

 

Little Beck, Whitby  Time 12:43

 

 

 

Our Whitby crew attended a chimney fire. The chimney was well alight on arrival of the crews who extinguished the fire from the ground floor and roof of the property.

 

 

 

St Helens Lane, Reighton  Time 14:45

 

 

 

A crew from Filey attended a car fire on St Helens Lane. The crews used a hose reel jet and extinguishers to extinguish the fire.

 

 

 

Strensall Road York Time 14:46

 

 

 

A cyclist required medical assistance so our York crew who were in the area assisted with their first aid kit until paramedics arrived.

 

Bankside Close, Sowerby Time 15:48

 

 

 

Crews from Northallerton and Thirsk attended a fire seen in the open. This was a large bonfire that crews extinguished using a hose reel jet.

 

 

 

Manor Drive, Pickering Time 16:23

 

 

 

Crews from Pickering and Kirbymoorside are currently attending a chimney fire. More details to follow.

 

 

 

Park Parade, Harrogate Time 16:48

 

 

 

A crew from Harrogate are currently assisting persons trapped in a lift. More details to follow.
