Incident Summary Tuesday 12th January - Dayshift

Round up of incidents between 0730 and 1730 on Tuesday 12th January

 Road Traffic Collision – A166, Murton

Time of call: 0748 hours.  Road traffic collision involving a bus (no passengers on board) and a small car transporter. Driver of bus released uninjured by fire crews.

 False Alarm – Station Road, York

Time of call: 0823 hours.  False alarm due to a faulty smoke detector.

 False Alarm – The Stray, Castle Howard

Time of call: 0839 hours.  False alarm due to engineers working on the fire detection system.

 Fire – Cambridge Crescent, Harrogate

Time of call: 0922 hours.  Small fire in a light fitting in ground floor reception area of a commercial property. Slight fire damage to light fitting only. Cause is electrical fault. Crews used ladder and thermal imaging camera.

 Road Traffic Collision – Newbiggin, Malton

Time of call: 1104 hours.  2 vehicle road traffic collision. No persons trapped in the vehicles but 3 people injured. Received treatment from Ambulance crew on scene but did not attend hospital. Fire crew removed vehicles from road and dealt with fuel spillage.

 First Aid – Rougier Street, York

Time of call: 1157 hours.  Fire crews administered first aid to a male with a minor head injury until an Ambulance arrived on scene.

 Road Traffic Collision – Stammergate, Thirsk

Time of call: 1219 hours.  Road traffic collisions. Single car collided with a house. No persons trapped. Occupants of car received treatment from paramedics on scene. Fire crews isolated electricity in house and cordoned off the road. Incident left with Police.

 False Alarm – Wareham Road, Eastfield

Time of call: 1219 hours.  Smell of burning in commercial property due to nearby soldering work. Fire crew used a thermal imaging camera to investigate.

 Road Traffic Collision – Claro Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1539 hours.  Road traffic collision involving 1 car. No persons trapped. Male driver taken to hospital complaining of chest pains. Fire crew made scene safe using manpower.
