Incident Summary Tuesday 18th July Day Shift


Please see below a round up of incidents from Tuesday 18th July day shift.


Incident 6306  Time 0826 – Allerton Close, Northallerton


Northallerton crews attended a washing machine fire in a domestic property. The fire was out on arrival and crews removed the washing machine to outside and gave advice.


Incident 6311  Time 1413 – Columbus Ravine, Scarborough


A car on a ramp in a commercial garage caught fire causing fire damage to the car and roofing of the garage. Scarborough crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and hose reels.


Incident 6314  Time 1421 – Sutton Way, York


Huntington crew extinguished a small grass fire using a knapsack water sprayer.


Incident 6319  Time 1528 – Blackberry Gardens, Dunnington, York


A fire in undergrowth spread to trees and a garden fence along a disused railway line. Huntington crew extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets.


Incident 6326  Time 1611 – Olivers Mount, Scarborough


Approximately 20 square metres of grassland caught fire on Oliver’s Mount.  Scarborough crew used 2 water knapsacks to extinguish.


In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended fire alarm calls in York, Tadcaster and Fylingdales.  All were false alarms.
