Round up of incidents for – Day Shift Tuesday 19th April

Hull Road, York

Fire crews from York attended  a premises down Hull Road where the  were reports of the fire alarm were sounding. Upon crews arrival, they inspected the premises. They confirmed the alarm had been set off maliciously. Advice given and no further action required

Sandygate Lane, Blubberhouses

Fire crews from Harrogate and Ripon and an officer attended a road traffic collision  near Blubberhouses.  The incident involved a large goods vehicle and a car. Fire crews worked alongside police and paramedics to release casualties. Casualties were transported to hospital by air ambulance. Fire crews used hydraulic cutting gear and air bags.

 Stakesby Road, Whitby

 Fire crews from Whitby were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises.  The crews investigated the premises and were able to establish the alarm was a false alarm. The alarm is believed to have sounded due to a system fault.
