Incident Summary Wednesday 29th November Night Shift

30th November 2017

Moor Lane, Eastfield, Scarborough. Time: 17:42

Crews from Scarborough and Filey attended a small fire in a derelict property. The fire was reported by a local PCSO. On arrival crews discovered a small rubbish fire in a first floor room of the property. Crews extinguished using one hose reel. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

Cold Bath Road, Harrogate. Time: 17:49

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresbrough attended a single vehicle road traffic collision at the above address. One male who was walked from vehicle by ambulance service. No action taken by fire service.

Cumberland Gardens, Middleton Tyas. Time: 19:40

Crews from Richmond and Colburn attended a fire alarm sounding in a residential property. The cause of the fire alarm was due to cooking fumes.

Clifton Street, Scarborough. Time: 20:06

Crews from Scarborough and Filey were called to a possible flat fire at the above address. On arrival crews discovered it was a false alarm the smoke formation occurred due to a cigarette.

Moore Avenue, York. Time: 20:15

A crew from York were mobilised to a car fire on the above road. Crews discovered a Vauxhall Astra on fire. They extinguished it using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. The car was completely damaged by fire. The cause is believed to be deliberate.

Wigginton Road, York. Time: 20:48

Crews from Acomb were sent to a fire alarm sounding in a public building. On arrival they discovered it was sounding due to cooking fumes.

Percy’s Lane, York. Time: 21:17

Crews from York were sent to a fire alarm sounding in a residential block. The cause of the alarm sounding was steam from a shower.

Leeds Road, Tadcaster. Time: 22:40

Crews from Tadcaster were mobilised to a fire alarm sounding in a residential property. The cause of the alarm was put back as a system fault.

Burnholme Avenue, York.  Time: 05:22

A crew from York attended this incident which was a fire alarm sounding in a domestic building, the case of the alarm was due to a faulty alarm.

Plumpton Park, Harrogate. Time: 06:05

A crew from Harrogate attended this incident which was a fire alarm sounding in a commercial premises, the case of the alarm was due to a fire door being accidently opened.

Piccadilly, York.  Time: 06:29

A crew from York attended this incident which was a fire alarm sounding in a residential building, the case of the alarm was due to a faulty alarm.
