Incident Summary Tuesday 8th August Day Shift

Incident 6988  Time  – 13:22 – 13:35

Hull Road, York


Crews from York attended a reported incident of smoke from a chimney at a residential property. From investigation smoke was from a log burner. Advice given to occupier for safe use. 


Incident 6993  Time 14:45 – 15:03

Harrogate Recycling Centre, Harrogate


Electrical fire reported at Harrogate recycling centre. From inspection of appliances the fire was out on arrival of crews.


Incident 6990  Time 14:24 – 16:49

Near Leighton Hall, Leighton


Four crews attended an incident near Leighton Hall of a tractor that had over turned on a farm. One person was reported as trapped but out on arrival of crews. Crews assisted paramedics to enable air ambulance to lift casualty to hospital.


Incident 6994  Time 16:25 – 1730

Gap Crescent, Hunmanby Gap, Filey


A Fire Officer attended a residential property that was at risk of being affected by flooding. A light portable pump was used to maintain the level of water. Water did not enter property.



 In addition to the above incidents our Fire crews attended automatic fire alarm calls in Tadcaster, Acomb and York.  All were false alarms.
