Incident Summary Day Shift Friday 4th May 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

M62 Eastbound between  J33  to J34 - Time of call 07:03

Fire crews from Selby and Goole (Humberside Fire Service) attended a two vehicle road traffic collision involving two heavy goods vehicles. One of the drivers was released by crews using door removal equipment. No injuries were sustained.

Raskelf - Time of call 07:41

Easingwold and Thirsk fire crews attended a fire inside a cattle shed. The fire was confined to a cattle feeder full of straw and was believed to be caused by a spark from a grinder. Crews extinguished fire using one hose reel. No cattle were hurt.

Kirkgate, Tadcaster - Time of call 07:51

Tadcaster fire crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a public premises. This was a false alarm, cause was unknown.

Carr Lane, Selby - Time of call 08:59

York fire crews attended a smoke alarm activation at a school. This was a false alarm caused by accidental activation of break glass point.

West Lane, Stillington - Time of call 09:16

Easingwold, Huntington and Malton crews responded to a two vehicle road  traffic collision involving a coach and a van. Male driver of van was trapped and released by crews using hydraulic cutting equipment. Male was transported to Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

East Parade, Harrogate - Time of call 11:50

Fire crews from Harrogate used the aerial ladder platform to make loose roof tiles safe.

York  - Time of call 13:20

Fire crews from York assisted a female locked inside a room. Crews managed to manually prise door open.

Common Lane, Walden Stubbs - Time of call 15:42

Fire crews from Selby and two Over the boarder appliances (South Yorkshire) attended a grass dryer on fire inside a farm building. Incident currently ongoing

Broughton Road, Skipton - Time of call 16:06

Skipton fire crews responded to reports of a smell of burning in the basement of a public building.

Goathland - Time of call 16:09

Crews from Goathland and Whitby responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. After extensive search of area no fire located.
