Incident Summary Day Shift Monday 20th August 2018

High Hutton – Time of call 08:48

Malton Crews responded to reports of a car fire on the A64, this turned out to be a false alarm.

Richmond – Time of call 11:01

Richmond crews responded to a bin fire, fire out on arrival of Fire Service. 1 hose reel used to damp down.

A168 Thirsk – Time of call 11:17

Crews from Thirsk, Ripon and Boroughbridge attended a van fire on the A198, 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus used.

Slingsby – Time of call 12:18

Crews from Malton responded to a road traffic collision on the B1257 involving two cars. 1 female transported to hospital as a precaution, 1 male transported to hospital with suspected broken wrist and back injuries. Hydraulic equipment and first aid used.

York – Time of call 13:47

York crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

Selby – Time of call 13:52

Crews from Selby and Tadcaster responded to a computer fire at a commercial premises. Out on arrival of Fire ServicE crews used breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate.

Scarborough – Time of call 15:06

Scarborough crews responded to 3 people stuck in a lift, crews released using lift keys and winding mechanism.

Scarborough – Time of call 15:43

Scarborough crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

Selby – Time of call 16:18

Selby crews responded to a female with a ring stuck on her finger, released using ring cutters.
