Please see below a round up of incidents from Thursday 23rd August Day Shift

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Main Street, Gristhorpe, Filey – TOC 07.24

 

Our appliance from Filey dealt with a CO2 Cylinder that was leaking. Crews isolated the leak and left with the cylinder owner.

South Bay, Scarborough – TOC 08.40

Scarborough crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a commercial premises, this turned out to be a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Milford Road, South Milford, Selby – TOC 09.10

Tadcaster attended reports of a fire in a field, this turned out to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice given by crews to the farmer who was supervising.

Gracious Street, Knaresborough – TOC 14.40

Knaresborough crew rescued and elderly male who was stuck in a lift. Crews used lift keys to rescue the man and gave advice to the caretaker on site.

West End, Ulleskelf, Tadcaster – TOC 14.45

An appliance from Tadcaster attended a bonfire that had gotten out of control and spread to a tree. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Bond End, Knaresborough – TOC 15.08

Knaresborough attended a tree stump containing a wasps nest that was on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down the area. It is believed this was caused deliberately.

Station Road, Scalby, Scarborough – TOC 16.04

Scarborough were sent to reports of a tree on fire, this turned out to be controlled burning of garden waste under supervision. Advice given to property owner, no further action taken by fire service.

knaresborough – TOC 16:49

Knaresborough Crews responded to calls of a house fire, This turned out to be controlled burning. Advice given to owner.
