Incident Summary - Night Shift 29th January

Fire Co-Responder Incident – Whitby Road, Staithes
Time of call: 19:06
Our Fire Co-Responder from Lythe was mobilised to an elderly person who was having breathing difficulties and provided first aid until the ambulance arrived. 

Late Fire Call – Moreby, Escrick
Time of call: 19:31
York fire appliance was mobilised to a late fire call which had been reported to us by the occupier as there house was full of smoke due to a small fire in the kitchen.

Lorry Fire – Walmgate York
Time of call: 20:14
Fire crews from York and Acomb attended reports of a lorry well alight near student accommodation. The vehicle was a medium sized truck on fire, fire was extinguished by crews using 1 hose reel. Cause of fire is believed deliberate.

Automatic Fire alarm – College Street, Harrogate
Time of call: 21:15

Fire crews from Harrogate were mobilised to reports of an automatic fire alarm.  The alarm sounding was activated by the resident who had a fallen in her property; crews administered first aid until the ambulance service attended. 

Cooker Fire – Thoresby Road, York
Time of call: 22:57
Fire crews from York and 2 from Acomb attended this incident, the fire was out on arrival and crews ventilated the property and installed smoke alarms in the property.

Smell of burning in property – Hackness Drive, Scarborough
Time of call: 23:14
2 appliances from Scarborough attended reports of a possible fire, however despite a full investigation no sign of fire was found.

Persons stuck in lift – Tower Street, York
Time of call:   23:16
An appliance from Huntington attended this incident however the 3 persons trapped were released prior to our arrival. 

Automatic Fire Alarm – Scarah Hill, Ripley
Time of call: 02:38
Harrogate crews attended a fire alarm that was activating.

Automatic Fire Alarm – St Gobain Glassworks, Selby
Time of call: 02:48
Fire crews from Selby attended a fire alarm sounding, there was no fire, alarm activated due to a fault on the system.

Automatic Fire Alarm – Kings Road, Harrogate
Time of call:  04:06
Harrogate crews attended a fire alarm that was activating.
