Incident Summary Night Shift Tuesday 9th October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

York – Time of call 18:27

Acomb crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

Helmsley – Time of call 18:59

Helmsley crews attended an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

KIllinghall, Harrogate – Time of call 18:59

Harrogate crews responded to a grass fire seen in the open. This was unattended controlled burning, extinguished using a bucket of water and 1 hose reel.

Manor Road Park Scarborough – Time of call 19:19

Crews from Scarborough attended a fire in the open in a playground, to some clothing. The fire was extinguished using a bucket of water. The cause if believed to be deliberate. 

A659 Tadcaster – Time of call 20:15

Tadcaster crews responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A659. Crews gave emergency care to 1 male suffering abrasions to the wrist and left in care of paramedics. Lighting, strops, IEC (first aid) kit, brush and cervical collar used.

Filey Time of call 21:07

Filey crews responded to a water leak inside a residential property. Crews isolated leak and electrics using small tools.

Sinderby – Time of call 21:47

Thirsk and Ripon crews attended a village hall fire in Sinderby. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 2 thermal imaging cameras. The cause of the fire is believed to have been an electrical fault in the fuse board. 

Scarborough – Time of call 22:39

Scarborough crews responded to reports of a fire in the open. This was a mobility scooter on fire, extinguished using 1 hose reel.

Scarborough – Time of call 23:44

Scarborough crews attended to automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

York – Time of call 02:35

Crews from York attended an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

Whitby – Time of call 02:57

Whitby crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm.

Harrogate – Time of call 05:09

Harrogate crews responded to a rubbish fire in the open, 1 bucket of water used.

Helmsley – Time of call 05:54

Helmsley crews responded to an automatic alarm activation. This was a false alarm.
