St. Mary’s Walk, Harrogate.  Time of call 17:08

Fire crews from Harrogate responded to reports of a hedge on fire in a domestic garden. On arrival crews extinguished fire using one hose reel. Fire was caused accidentally.

Hungate Court, Hunmanby, Filey Time of call 17:25

Filey crews attended a fire alarm activation at a residential premises. There was no fire, cause of alarm was unknown.

South Milford. Time of call 18:01

Tadcaster crews attended a fire involving large piles of straw in a field. Cause is believed to be deliberate. Pitchforks, beaters and knapsack sprayers were used to extinguish fire.

Wigginton Road, York - Time of call 18:38

York fire crews attended a fire alarm activation at a Hospital. There was no fire. Alarm was caused by a fault.

Mars Lane, Scaling Dam Time of call 20:12

Danby Fire Crew responded to reports of a large fire in the open. However this was controlled burning and was well supervised.

South Beech Avenue, Harrogate  Time of call 21:03

Fire crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough and Boroughbridge responded to an electric shower fire in a domestic property. Cause of fire is believed to be a faulty switch. Fire was out on arrival of Fire Service.

Blossom Street York  Time of call 21:07

York fire crews attended a skip fire outside a Pub. Cause of fire was believed to be accidental. Fire was extinguished by crews using one hose reel jet.


Swinerton Avenue, York  Time of call 21:25

Fire crews from York and Acomb assisted Police and Ambulance with a full search of the River and bank side for missing elderly male. Police set up Bronze command and used their Search Helicopter in the hunt.  Male was located safe and sound approximately two miles from search location


Thirsk Police Station, Market Place, Thirsk Time of call 21:47

Fire crews from Thirsk and Northallerton responded to what was believed to be, a possible Hazmat incident. A bag containing an unknown substance was handed in to Police, Hazardous materials Fire Officer carried out tests and deemed the substance to be not immediately hazardous. Incident left with Police.

A682, long Preston Time of call 22:44

Fire crews from Settle and Skipton attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. Car had rolled over on its side. One male was trapped only through his injuries. Crews performed a roof roll down to access him.


High Street, Skipton Time of call 01:21

Skipton fire crews attended an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. Crews were unable to gain access but after a full external investigation could confirm that there was no fire.
