Lift rescue – Cold Bath Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 1718 hours

A crew from Harrogate has rescue 2 females from a lift after it stalled. The crew used lift keys and neither of the females were injured.

False alarm – Wooler Street, Scarborough

Time of call: 1720 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

False alarm – Seaton Crescent, Staithes

Time of call: 1754 hours

A crew from Lythe has investigated reports of a fire in the rear garden of a domestic property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

False alarm – Wenlock Terrace, York

Time of call: 1815 hours

A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

A crew from Harrogate has rescued a female from a stalled lift in a commercial property. The crew used lift keys and the female was uninjured.

Chimney fire – St Peters Road, Whitby   

Time of call: 2018 hours

A crew from Whitby has dealt with a chimney fire in a domestic property. The cause is believed to be an accumulation of soot. Chimney rods, hearth kit, a hosereel and thermal imaging camera were used.

Bin fire – Finkle Street, Thirsk

Time of call: 2038 hours

A crew from Thirsk has dealt with a fire in a dog waste bin. The cause is believed to be deliberate and crew used buckets of water.

Fire – Dragon Parade, Harrogate    

Time of call: 2058 hours

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough have been called to reports of sparks and smoke coming from a washing machine in a residential property. Minimal damage caused to the machine motor. Fire was out on arrival but crew isolated the machine and gave advice to occupier.

False alarm – West Heslerton

Time of call: 2257 hours

A crew from Malton investigated reports of a chimney fire in a domestic property. This was a false alarm as no fire could be located.

False alarm – Cawood

Time of call: 2336 hours

2 crews from Selby have investigated reports of a fire a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to the glow of lights at a commercial property.

False alarm – Westborough, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough has been called to a smoke alarm sounding in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.
