Lamb Rescued From Drain in Hawes

Location: Near top of Hardraw junction with Brunt Acres Road, Hawes

Fire crews from Hawes responded to a call reporting a lamb was stuck in a drainpipe which ran under a road. The lamb was approximately 3 metres inside the pipe. Crews attended and rescued the lamb using reach poles, manpower and digging equipment. The lamb was released, unharmed was running around in the field when crews left the scene at 20:19.
