Incident Summary Night Shift Monday 13th November

14th November 2017

Time 18:03 B6165 Between Summerbridge and Burnt Yates

A crew from Harrogate were called to reports of a large fire in the area. On arrival crews discovered a large controlled bonfire with the owner in attendance so no action was taken by the Fire Service.

Time 18:35 Hornbeam Park Avenue, Harrogate

A crew from Knaresborough were called to reports of a fire alarm sounding in a commercial property. On arrival they discovered the alarm had been set of accidently whilst staff were testing the system.

Time 19:31 Stanley Grove, Great Ayton

A call was received in the Control to say that several properties on this road were flooding due to a burst water main. Yorkshire Water were in attendance on arrival of crews and attempting to isolate the flow of water from the property. Our Stokesley crew used their main pump to pump water away from the properties until Yorkshire Water could isolate the leak.

Time 19:35 Westborough, Scarborough

Scarborough crews were alerted to reports of a wheelie bin on fire behind a shop on the above street. They extinguished the wheelie bin using one hose reel and they believe the cause of the fire to be deliberate.

Time 20:17  Fulford Road, York

A crew from York were called to a fire alarm sounding in a commercial premises on the above road. The cause of the alarm was believed to be dust in the detector.

Time 20:29 Westbourne Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crews were called to a residential property as the fire alarm was sounding. The cause of the alarm was unknown to the crews. Full check of property carried out.

Time 21:32 Albemarle Crescent Scarborough

Crews were called to a residential property as the fire alarm was sounding. On arrival crews discovered one of the break glass points had been broken in the property causing the alarm to sound.

Time 02:42 A19, Crathorne

Crews from Stokesley, Northallerton and Yarm were mobilised to a report of a car that had hit a tree. 1 casualty was released from vehicle using hydraulic cutting gear and left in care of ambulance crews.

Time 02:45 High Street, Eastfield

Crew from Scarborough were mobilised to a report of a cooker left on in a property. Crews gained access and turned cooker off.
