Incident Summary Sunday 14th January Night Shift

Albert Street, Harrogate. Time: 17:25

Crews from Harrogate were called to reports of a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property they believed the alarm was sounding because of a system fault.

Turker Lane, Northallerton. Time: 17:52

Two crews from Northallerton were called to a chimney fire at residential property. Crews extinguished the fire using a hearth kit and ladder.

Towthorpe Moor Lane, Strensall. Time: 18:21

A crew from Huntington station were mobilised to reports of a small fire on the side of the road. On arrival crews discovered a small rubbish fire which they extinguished using beaters. The cause of the fire is believed to of been deliberate.

Skipton Road, Harrogate. Time: 19:07

Crews from Harrogate were called to reports of a smoke alarm sounding in a commercial property they believed the alarm was sounding because of cooking fumes.

Back Lane, Moulton. Time: 20:12

Crews from Richmond were called to reports of a street light sparking. Crews stood by until arrival of electricity board.

Main Street, Elvington. Time: 02:42

Crew were mobilised to a report of a car on fire on a driveway. Extinguished using 1 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel. Cause is believed to have been deliberate ignition.

Swann Street, York. Time: 03:25

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire on a door. This was a false alarm believed to be orange light mistaken for fire.

Hornbeam Park Avenue, Harrogate. Time: 03:48

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to a system fault.

University Road, York. Time: 03:56

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to steam from a shower.

Dragon Parade, Harrogate. Time: 05:19

Crew were mobilised to a report of a flooding in a premises, which had affected electrics and set off a smoke alarm. Water isolated by crews. Advice given.

The Bailey, Skipton. Time: 05:23

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to dust in a detector.

George Street, York. Time: 05:55

Crew were mobilised to a fire alarm sounding and a smell of smoke in a premises. This was a small fire in an oven, out on arrival. Advice given.
