Incident Summary Night Shift Monday 16th October

16th October 2017

Acklam, Malton TOC: 19:16

Crews from Malton, York, Acomb and a water bowser from Tadcaster attended a large fire to agricultural buildings, this was caused by an accidental spread from a bonfire due to the high winds

York Place, Harrogate TOC: 19:23

Crew from Harrogate were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.

Low Green, Copmanthorpe TOC: 20:37

Crew from Tadcaster were mobilised to a report of a small fire in an alleyway. This was a small amount of rubbish set alight deliberately, extinguished using small tools.

Hawthorn Avenue, Malton TOC: 20:51

Crews from Pickering and Sherburn were mobilised to report of a late fire call. This was a PVC door curtain blown into a security light, out on arrival. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to make sure scene was safe.

Hunters Way, York TOC: 21:15

Crew from Acomb were mobilised to a report of a tree coming down breaking through a property window. Crews made scene safe.

Lendal, York TOC: 21:50

Crews from Acomb and Huntington attended a report of a smell of burning in building, after investigation this was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty extractor fan

Falsgrave Road, Scarborough TOC:  22:08

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a fire in the open, a bucket of water was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately by youths.

Castlegate, Knaresborough TOC: 22:44

A crew from Knaresborough attended a report of loud bangs and flames sighted, on arrival this was found to be youths playing with fireworks, advice given.

Foreshore Road, Scarborough TOC:  00:08

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a fire in the open, seawater was used to extinguish the fire to a pallet which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Commercial Street, Malton TOC: 02:04

A crew from Malton removed a sign that was hanging dangerously over a footpath due to the high winds, a 13.5meter ladder was used.

Ainderby Gardens, Romanby TOC: 03:05

 Crew from Northallerton were mobilised to a report of a boiler fire in a property. Extinguished by crews wearing breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel.
