Incident Summary Night Shift Monday 22nd October

22nd October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

TOC    17:07   Parkin Avenue, Selby

A crew from Selby extinguished a fire to 15 conifers by use of a hosereel started by youths with matches.

TOC    17:41   Harrogate fire station, Harrogate

Harrogate crew removed three rings from a female who attended the station by use of a mechanical ring cutter.

TOC    18:08  Valley Gardens, Harrogate

A Harrogate crew used a hosereel to extinguish a fire to leaves started deliberately by youths.

TOC    00:47  Dragon Avenue, Harrogate

A Harrogate crew used a triple extension ladder and small tools to assist flat owners after the top flat’s water tank failed. Water was isolated and advice given.

In addition to the above, crews have attended reports of automatic fire alarms sounding in Settle, York, York again, York again, - all of which were false alarms due to a faulty detector head, cooking fumes, dust in detector head, system fault, respectively.
