Incident Summary Tuesday 3rd October Night Shift

3rd October 2017

 

Near Bilsdale Mast, Bransdale Moor Time of call 17:10

Crews from Stokesley and Kirkbymoorside were called to reports of a fire in the open near Bilsdale Mast. It turned out to be a false alarm due to controlled burning. Landowner was in attendance on arrival of crews.

Overton near York Time of call 17:38

A crew from Acomb along with an officer were called to reports of a cow stuck in the river in the village of Overton. The officer made up for the large animal rescue unit from Malton but they were turned around on the way due to cow being rescued by farmer and Acomb crews using farm machinery and manpower. Cow was reunited with the rest of the herd.

School Lane, York Time of call 18:59

A crew from York were called to a fire alarm sounding in a school. There was no fire on arrival and they believe the cause of the alarm to of been a fault on the system.

Harlow Oval, Harrogate Time of call 21:12

Crews from Harrogate were called to a fire alarm sounding in a residential property there was no fire on arrival and they believe the cause to be a fault on the system.

Front Street, Acomb, York Time of call 23:44

A crew from Acomb were called to reports of a smoke alarm sounding in a commercial premises. On arrival crews discovered the alarm was sounding due to a fault on the system

A64 near Buckles Inn time of call 23:45

Crews from York, Acomb and Tadcaster along with an officer were called to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision which was called into us by North Yorkshire Police. No persons were trapped on arrival of crews. Crews assisted with cleaning up small oil leak from vehicle.

Lennerton Lane, Sherburn In Elmet Time of call 00:58

A crew from Selby were called to a commercial property with a smoke alarm sounding. On arrival crews discovered the alarm was sounding due to a fault on the system.

Flaxby Moor, Flaxby, Knaersborough Time of call 01:55

A crew from Knaresborough were called to a smoke alarm sounding in a commercial premises. On arrival it was discovered the alarm was sounding due to a fault on the system.
