Incident Summary Night Shift Friday 4th May

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Eggborough TOC: 1750

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a property. This was a fire involving a lamp, spread to carpet and floorboards, belived to be caused by an electrical fault. Crews extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel, small axes, Dewalt saw and thermal imaging camera.

York TOC: 2002

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to cooking left unattended.

Scarborough TOC: 2125

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in a field. This was a fire involving approx. 75 metres by 75 metres of gorse bush on fire, crews left to burn out and will revisit in morning.

York TOC: 2151

Crew were mobilised to assist police in gaining entry to a building. Crews opened gate to allow access.

Tadcaster TOC: 2207

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a premises. This was a false alarm due to fumes from a boiler.

Colburn TOC: 2335

Crew were mobilised to a dog stuck in a stream. A Patterdale Terrier names Tilly had been lost earlier in the day but unable to be located by owners, but they could hear the dog yelping. Crews located dog in small stream and recovered back in to care of owners.

Selby TOC: 0200

Crew were mobilised to a report of smoke from a large garden waste compactor. Crews investigated with thermal imaging camera and will revisit in morning,

York TOC: 0204

Crew were mobilised to a report of smoke in a premises. This was a fire in a pizza oven. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel, thermal imaging camera and a door breaker.
