Incident Summary, night shift, Tuesday 07th August

TOC    17:15   Sinnington, nr Pickering

Crews from Pickering and Malton attended a fire to a baler in a stubble field, this caused minor damage to the baler and fire damage to one hectare of stubble, two hose reels and beaters were used to extinguish the fire

TOC    18:01   Pickering

A crew from Sherburn attended a report of a fire alarm sounding, after investigation this was found to be due to a fault on the system

TOC    18:03   Ledsham

Crews from Selby and Garforth attended a rubbish fire close to an agricultural building, one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire

TOC    18:36   Fieldside Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a garden fire, this was controlled burning, advice given.

TOC    19:24   Skeldergate York

A crew from York and Acomb attended a report of a fire alarm sounding, after investigation this was found to be due to cooking fumes

TOC    20:15   South Duffield

Two crews from Selby attended a fire to a combine harvester, 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels were used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault

TOC    20:49   Springfield Road Sherburn in Elmet

A crew from Tadcaster extinguished a fire in a field using 2 hose reels, the fire is believed to have been started deliberately

A crew from Stokesely attended a report of a fire in the open, this was found to be controlled burning under supervision

TOC    21:03   A171 Fylingdales

A crew from Robin Hoods Bay attended a report of a fire in the open, this was found to be controlled burning under supervision

TOC    21:19   Deighton

Two crews from Northallerton attended a report of a baler on fire, one hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which is believed to have started due to overheated bearings

TOC    23:01   Whitby

 A crew from Whitby attended a report of a fire in the open, this was found to be controlled burning under supervision

TOC    23:17   Ripon

Two fire engines from Ripon attended a report of a dishwasher fire on the ground floor of a three storey block of flats, crews used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Cause is believed to be a fault on a dishwasher.

 TOC    05:05   High Street Northallerton

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.
