Incident Summary Night Shift Tuesday 8th November

9th November 2016

New Lane, York TOC: 18:18

Crews from York, Acomb and Huntington were mobilised to a report of flames seen coming from a building. This was a disused residential property, which was destroyed by fire. Crews extinguished usisng 3 main jets and 2 hose reels. Cause is yet to be determined by a fire investigation officer.

Granby Road, Harrogate TOC: 18:36

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to an accidental activation of a break glass call point.

Knaresborough Road, Harrogate TOC: 19:02

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a call where a member of the public was concerned due to fireworks from a nearby firework display landing on a petrol station forecourt. Crews gave advice to forecourt staff.

Sycamore Drive, Harrogate TOC: 19:04

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a report of a fire in a park. This was a fire involving a wheelie bin, extinguished using a backpack sprayer. Cause is believed to be deliberate ignition.

Westfield Lane, South Milford TOC: 19:06

Crews from Selby were mobilised to a report of a post it note caught in a radiator and catching fire. This was out on arrival with slight damage to the paper only.

Vanbrugh Way, York TOC: 19:36

Crews from York were mobilised to a report of a fire in an industrial dishwasher. Extinguished using a dry powder extinguisher. Cause is believed to be an electrical fault.

Hellifield Road, Skipton TOC: 20:18

Crews from Skipton and Grassington were mobilised to a report of smoke in a property. This was believed to be due to a chimney fire caused by a build up of soot.

Long Street, Easingwold TOC: 23:42

Crews from Easingwold were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to a system fault.

East Parade, Harrogate TOC: 01:27

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

University Road, York TOC: 06:18

Crews from York were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to fumes from cooking.

King Street, Scarborough TOC: 06:21

Crews from Scarborough were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to a system fault.

Picadilly, York TOC: 06:38

Crews from York were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm. This was a false alarm due to dust.
