Incident summary - Night shift Monday 10th April

10th April 2017

1720 Stammergate, Thirsk- Commercial building fire
Crews from Thirsk, Helmsley, Northallerton, Bedale, Boroughbridge, and Ripon attended a workshop/shed on fire. They used 5 main jets and three hose reels to tackle the fire. Some photos from this incident are available at the bottom of this page.

1737 Park Parade, Harrogate- False Alarm Good Intent

18:35 Skellgarths, Ripon- Kitchen fire
A crew from Harrogate attended a pan which had been left on the stove and boiled dry. Crews ventilated the property.

19:09 Fairfield Road, Stokesley- small fire in open 
Small fire in open which was out on arrival of the Stokesley crew. Cause believed to be deliberate

19:11 Rawdon Avenue, York- small fire in open
One crew from York attended and found a small fire in undergrowth, pitchforks and beaters used.

19:15 Mill Lane, Tadcaster- small fire in open
A crew from Tadcaster attended a small fire in the woods. They used Knapsacks used to tackle the fire. Cause believed to be deliberate

19:50 Walmgate York- persons trapped
One person trapped by vestibule door which fell on to them. A crew from York used manpower to release the individual who was checked over by an ambulance crew 

20:37 Gildercliffe, Scarborough- small fire in open
This turned out to be controlled burning. 

20:42 Strawberry Court, Scarborough- False alarm

22:07 Flaxman Avenue, York- False alarm

23:26 Barlow Road, Selby- Car fire
A crew from Selby attended and used one hose reel jet to tackle a car on fire. The fire caused 100% damage to the vehicle.

23:32 Dean Road Scarbrough- person locked out
Crews assisted individual who had locked themselves out and left the oven on in property to gain entry into the property.

23:43 Barnetts Yard, Thirsk- car fire
Crews from Northallerton and Thirsk attended and found a fire to the interior of a vehicle. One hose reel jet was used to put the fire out.

23:51 Industrial Estate Road, Elvington, York- Commerical building on fire
Crews from Acomb, Huntington (including the aerial ladder platform), York and Tadcaster attended this incident. On their arrival the crews found a building on fire, they used hoses and the aerial ladder platform to tackle the fire. Crews had the fire surrounded by around 2:15am and then spent some time dampening down the scene.
