Incident Summary Night Shift Saturday 27th October 2018

28th October 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Patrick Brompton Time of call:18:30

A crew from Leyburn were called to a report of a chimney fire. This was out on Fire Brigade arrival. Crews used a triple extension ladder, chimney rods a thermal imaging camera and lighting to ensure the fire was extinguished.

Station Road, Scalby Time of call:18:32

A crew from Scarborough were called to a report of a chimney fire. This was a false alarm due to paper that had become stuck in the chimney flue.

Paddy Wood, Ripon Time of call: 22:13

A crew from Ripon were called to assist ambulance crews with a male who was suffering breathing difficulties. The crews assisted with helping to lift the male to the ambulance. The male was left in the care of the ambulance service.

Sutton-in-Craven Time of call: 03:49

Crew were mobilised to assist ambulance and police with gaining entry to a medical emergency.

Knaresborough Time of call: 05:23

Crews attended a premises to assist an elderly lady who was trapped in a room and unable to get out.

Thorpe Willoughby Time of call: 05:37

Crews were requested by ambulance to assist with transporting a casualty from a field to the ambulance following a vehicle leaving the road.

We also attended fire alarm activations in York,Whitby, Harrogate . These were false alarms.
