A64, Westbound Hopgrove to Grimston

Crews called to reports of a van on fire. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm, with good intent, due to a blown head gaskett on the vehicle.

Commercial Street, Harrogate

Harrogate crew responded to a request to assist with releasing a child from a locked car. On arrival, crew confirmed the recovery company was in attendance and the child had already been released safely and reunited with family. No assistance required by Fire and Rescue.

Church View, Sherburn In Elmet

Tadcaster crews sent to a report of smoke in a property with an elderly resident still believed to be in the building. On arrival, crew confirmed the fire was out. No persons in the building, all persons accounted for. Inspection and ventilation carried out by Fire crews.

B1257, Great Broughton

Crews attended and dealt with a fire to a tractor in the open. Fire extinguished with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. Cause accidental. No persons involved.
