Incident Summary – Day Shift 16th July

 Red Lane, Masham

Local crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 A1 Northbound, between Allerton Park and Boroughbridge

Crews from Harrogate, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge sent to various reports of a car fire. On arrival, crews confirmed one vehicle well alight. Extinguished by fire crews using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels. Driver out of the vehicle on arrival and unharmed. Incident left in hands of Highways and Police.

Slessor Road, Acomb, York

Acomb and York appliances sent to reports of a shed fire, attached to a property. On arrival, crew dealt with the shed fire which was well alight. Extinguished using one hose reel jet. Contents of shed and property attached, not affected. Cause due to radiated heat from old BBQ coals. Advice given.
