Incident Summary – Day Shift 17th July

Princes Square, Harrogate.

Harrogate crew with their Aerial Ladder Platform vehicle called to assist with two males stuck in a cage of a cherry picker after it had become stuck in the extended position. Crew used the aerial ladder platform to rescue from height and bring the males back down to safe ground.

Almery Terrace, York

York crews along with the boat sent to liaise with Police and search river after a report of a male sighted near or in the river. On arrival and after investigation, no persons found. It was later confirmed a male had entered the river, but had been traced to be safe and well.

Burton Stone Lane, York

York crew sent to a report of a smoke alarm sounding in a property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to fault on system

Stockwell Lane, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Busby Lane, Great Busby, Stokesley area

Two local crews sent to reports of a barn fire. On arrival crews requested a further 3 fire engines along with a water bowser to assist. The incident involved a large barn fire and diesel containers. Hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and a foam blanket was placed over the diesel containers. No persons involved.
