Incident Summary – Night Shift Monday 25th July

Thirsk Road, Easingwold

Easingwold crew sent to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent, due to controlled burning.

Chapel Gate, Kirkby Malham, Settle area

Crews called after a report of a possible fire in a roof of a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crews confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a light which had fused after a water leak in the property. Inspection with a thermal image camera carried out by crews.

Dalby Avenue, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended a small rubbish fire in open. Extinguished using one bucket of water. Cause deliberate, by youths in area.

Oak Beck area, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended another small rubbish fire in open. Extinguished using one bucket of water. Cause deliberate, by youths in area.

Piccadilly, York

York crew called to a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a fault in system.

Off Dringthorpe Road, York

Acomb crew called to reports of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent, due to controlled burning under supervision.

Tadcaster Road, York

York crew called to a report of a fire in trees. On arrival, crews extinguished a fire to a straw bale and rubbish. One extended hose reel jet used to extinguish the fire. Cause, unknown.

Stanley Street, Scarborough

Scarborough crew sent to a residential property after a report of a smoke alarm sounding. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm. Crew also fitted new smoke alarm.

West Avenue, Filey

Filey crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Crockey Hill, York

York crew sent to the area after a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be controlled burning under supervision.                 

Kings Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew sent to investigate after a smoke alarm activation. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to dust in a detector head.
