Cawthorne Avenue, Harrogate 18:45

Harrogate crew called to investigate a report of a fire in a garden, with concerns the fire may spread. On arrival, crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.

Beverley Road, Norton, Malton 20:15

Malton crews called to investigate a report of a tractor pulling a baler, with a fire to the baler and the driver unaware. Crews carried out a thorough search of the area and surrounding roads, nothing found.

Oak Tree Close, Strensall, York 20:40

Huntington crew called to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crews extinguished a fire close to a tree. Wildfire pack used to extinguish. Cause believed deliberate.

Lawrence Street, York 20:45

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a believed system fault.

Maison Dieu, Richmond 21:58

Richmond crew called to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to an accidental activation.

Coney Street, York 22:37

Huntington crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to dust in detector.

Hob Moor area, York 22:38

York and Acomb crews sent to assist after a train had reported it’s fire prevention system had been activated. When crews arrived, they confirmed a fire had occurred on an express passenger train. The fire was in the rear engine, it was extinguished by the train’s own fire prevention system. The fire out on arrival of Fire and Rescue personnel, however the decision was made to assist with the evacuation of 54 passengers and four staff on to a second train and transport them back to York Rail Station. Fire and Rescue crews cooled the rear engine using two foam extensions and checked for residual heat with a thermal image camera.

Whitby Road, Pickering 01:50

Pickering crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a fault in the system.
