Incident Summary – Day Shift Tuesday 27th September

High Street, Harrogate

Harrogate crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to accidental activation of break glass point.

Main Street, Flixton, Scarborough

Scarborough crews called to assist Ambulance crews with a male casualty positioned approx. 10 feet up scaffolding. Fire and Rescue crews used their aerial ladder platform stretcher, transferring casualty to ground with working at height equipment. Casualty then left in hands of Ambulance personnel.

Millgate, Selby

Selby crew called to a report of a rubbish fire in the open. On arrival crews found this to be controlled burning, under supervision. Advise given, no further action.

Oak Rise, York

York crew called to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to testing of system.

Broughton Road, Skipton

Skipton crew called to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Ripon Road, Harrogate

Crew sent to a report of a vehicle fire. On arrival, crews found this to be a false alarm with good intent due to a burnt out clutch on a van, which caused a lot of smoke. Crews ensured scene safety for oncoming traffic due to the smoke issuing into the carriageway, until arrival of recovery.
