Incident Summary – Day Shift Tuesday 28th March

 

 

07:59  Boroughbridge Road, York

Crews attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. No persons trapped. Crews administered first aid to a female casualty on scene, until arrival of paramedics.

 

08:00  Skiplam Close, Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended to assist with the release of a child who had become locked in a bathroom. Crews used small tools to access through the door, allowing the child to exit.

 

08:22  Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended and extinguished fire to two large straw bales in a field. Extinguished using one hose reel. Cause believed deliberate.

 

08:45  Dunslow Road, Eastfield, Scarborough

Scarborough crew dealt with a fuel leak on a garage forecourt. Absorbed using sand then left in hands of garage.

 

08:54  Leeds Road, Tadcaster

Tadcaster crew called to and dealt with a small fire in the open consisting of general rubbish. One hose reel jet used to extinguish the fire. Cause believed deliberate.

 

09:56  Tadcaster Road, Dringhouses, York

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

10:22  Old Malton Road, Malton

Malton crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

11:06  Wetherby Road, Harrogate

Crews called after a report of a road traffic collision. On arrival, crews confirmed all persons out of vehicle. Fire and Rescue crews not required.

 

11:20  School Lane, Heslington, York

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

12:54  Carleton Road, Skipton

Skipton crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

13:44  West End, Kirkbymoorside

Kirkbymoorside crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

14:16  Richmond to Ravensworth Road, Richmond

Richmond and Leyburn crews attended to assist with a fire to a pile of wood chippings. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish. Cause of fire believed accidental. Revisit planned for this evening.

 

16:05  Skipton Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended and dealt with a small fire in woodland. Cause believed to be deliberate.
