Incident Summary – Night shift Sunday 2nd April

 

 

17:56 Avenue Road, York

Acomb and York crews attended following a report of smoke in a property. Crew found this to be a plastic bottle which had melted on a cooker. No fire. Crews ventilated and gave advice before leaving the incident.

 

19:23 Leeds Road, Thorpe Willoughby, Selby

Selby crews attended following a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed the fire to be out. Inspection only. Rubbish fire, cause deliberate.

 

19:11 Institue Street, Glusburn, Keighley

Skipton crew requested to attended a resident stuck in a lift. One male released from the lift using small tools.

 

20:10 Aunums Close, Thornton Le Dale, Pickering

Pickering sent to a report of a chimney fire. Crews confirmed fire in chimney pot. Extinguished from hearth. Advice given.

 

20:24 Stockwell Lane, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

21:24 First Avenue, Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended and dealt with a bin fire. Extinguished using buckets of water. Cause believed to be deliberate.

 

22:09 Link Walk, Eastfield, Scarborough

Scarborough crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

23:03 Bellerby High Street, Bellerby

Leyburn and Richmond crews attended and dealt with a fire to a tractor. Fire also spread to interior fittings of agricultural building, which tractor was located at the time of fire. Fire extinguished using two hose reels. Cause of fire believed to be accidental.

 

23:14 Towthorpe Moor Lane, Strensall, York

Huntington crew attended following report of fire in the open. Crew dealt with fire involving a large hay bale. One hose reel used to extinguish. Cause believed started deliberately.

 

23:45 High Street, Harrogate

Harrogate crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

06:17 Leases Road, Leeming Bar

Bedale crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
