Incident Summary – Day Shift Tuesday 30th May



08:51 North Lees, Ripon area

Ripon crews called out to assess following a report of a dog trapped in a drain. Following an assessment, crews were unable to locate the dog, confirming it could be stuck anywhere between approx. 150 metres of piping. For this reason, advice was given to owners to contact RSPCA at this stage. The incident has however been left open for further visit to aid rescue when and if possible, following any developments of the dog’s location within the drain.


11:43 Market Street, York

York crews attended the area following a report of a bin fire. On arrival, crew confirmed the fire to be out. Inspection only. Cause believed to be deliberate.


12:56 Main Street, Cononley

Skipton crew attended and extinguished a fire within a chimney. Water bottles, small tools, chimney kit and thermal image camera used. Cause of the fire is believed due to a birds nest.


17:02  Cod Beck Reservoir area, Osmotherley

Northallerton crew proceeding to a report of a small fire in the open. Further details to follow.
