Incident Summary – Day Shift Friday 30th September

 

 

09:11  Easingwold area.

Easingwold and Thirsk crews attended and dealt with a fire to the contents of a large agricultural trailer. Two hose reel jets used to extinguish the fire. Cause of fire believed to be electrical.

 

09:59 A19 Northbound carriageway, close to junction with A172

Northallerton and Stokesley crews attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews used cutting equipment on one of the vehicles to allow access for paramedics. General scene safety and casualty care also carried out, before leaving the incident with Police and Ambulance.

 

11:40 Leeming Bar, Northallerton

Bedale crew attended after a report of a collision between two heavy goods vehicles, resulting in a ruptured fuel tank on one of the vehicles. Crew used dammit paste to stop the leak from the vehicle. Incident then left in hands of Police.

 

11:49 New Street, Tadcaster

Tadcaster crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a system fault.

 

11:54 A64, Malton area

Malton crew attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival, the car was on it’s roof. One male driver was out of the vehicle, unharmed, on arrival of emergency services. Crews carried out scene safety and left incident in hands of Police.

 

11:58 Eastborough, Scarborough

Scarborough crews attended after a report of a cooker fire. On arrival, the fire was out, inspection only by fire and rescue personnel. Damage to food only. Advice given.

 

12:36 Cold Cotes Road, Kettlesing Head, Harrogate area

Harrogate crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to an accidental activation of the break glass point.

 

13:01 High Street, Rillington, Malton

Malton crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to testing of the system.
