Incident Summary –Day Shift Wednesday31st August

 

 

Stockwell Road, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

A1 Northbound, between A63 and M62 Junctions

Crews sent to a report of a vehicle fire. On arrival and after a thorough search between both junctions and further, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent. No vehicle found.

 

Wandale Lane, Malton

Crews from Malton and Pickering called to attend a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a combine on fire and spread to approximately 25 square metres of crops. Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets, beaters and two foam extinguishers.

 

St Andrews area, Harrogate

Harrogate crew called to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crews extinguished a fire in a bin using one hose reel jet. Cause deliberate by youths.

 

Scriven Road, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew called to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crews extinguished a small fire to grassland using hose reel and beaters. Cause deliberate by youths.
