Incident Summary – Night Shift Saturday 8th October

Mill Close, Monk Fryston, Selby

Time of call: 1734 hours

Selby crew sent after a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew extinguished a rubbish fire using one hose reel. Advice given to occupier.

Cold Bath Place, Harrogate

Time of call: 1751 hours

Harrogate crew sent after a report of a smoke alarm sounding in a property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Beckwith Head Road area, Harrogate

Time of call: 2221 hours

Harrogate crew called to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

Falsgrave Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 2233 hours

Scarborough crew attended and dealt with a fire to a large recycling bin. One further recycling bin affected by heat damage. One hose reel jet used on both bins to extinguish. Cause believed deliberate. 

A64, Nr Stockton on the Forest

Time of call: 2240 hours

York and Huntington crews called to assist with a two vehicle road traffic collision. All casualties out of vehicles on arrival. Crews assisted paramedics with manpower, moving casualties onto stretchers. Crews also made both vehicles safe and carried out general scene safety.

Maple Drive, Scarborough

Time of call: 2345 hours

Scarborough crews sent to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival, crew confirmed all persons safe, false alarm due to smoke formation from cooking fumes. Crew used positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate property.

Wheelgate, Malton

Time of call: 0149 hours

Malton crew attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants out of vehicles on arrival of crews. Crews assisted with first aid to casualties until arrival of paramedics. Crews also made both vehicles safe and carried out general scene safety.

St Nicholas Street, Norton, Malton

Time of call: 0252 hours

Malton crew sent to a report of a car fire. On arrival, crew extinguished fire to vehicle using one hose reel jet. Fire damage to passenger compartment. Police requested due to suspected deliberate ignition.

York Road, Acomb

Time of call: 0653 hours

Acomb crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation at a commercial property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
