Incident Summary – Day Shift Thursday 8th September

 

 

Dunslow Road, Eastfield, Scarborough

Scarborough crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to refracted light onto the heat sensor.

 

 

Keighley Road, Skipton

Skipton crew along with an officer attended a road traffic collision involving a heavy goods vehicle which had collided with a concrete gas structure. Crews secured the concrete roof and the vehicle was reversed off the structure. Crew then made safe and gave advice until arrival of gas board.

 

Harmby Road, Leyburn

Leyburn crew called to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

East Parade, Harrogate

Harrogate crew called after a report of a smoke alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm caused by fumes from an aerosol.

 

Queen Margarets Road, Scarborough

Scarborough and Filey crews along with an officer called to a report of a fire in a building. On arrival, crews confirmed a fire had occurred, but was out on their arrival. Crews ventilated the building.

 

St Aelreds Close, York

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

Esplanade, Scarborough

While mobile in the local area, Scarborough crew came across a female with a head injury after falling in the street. Crew used first aid pack to assist a cyclist paramedic also in attendance. Female believed taken to hospital for further treatment.

 

Wetherby Lane, Kirk Deighton

Knaresborough crew attended and dealt with a small area of straw and dried grass alight. Cause believed accidental, dropped light. Extinguished using one hose reel.
