Incident Summary – Day Shift 22nd February



12:26 Colne Road, Cowling, Keighley

Skipton crews responded after a report of a road traffic collision between a car and a heavy goods vehicle with possible persons trapped. On arrival, crew confirmed the vehicles of the collision, also confirmed no persons trapped. No requirement for any action by fire and rescue crews. Incident left with Police.


12:54 The Stray, Castle Howard Road, Coneysthorpe

Malton and Huntington crews attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. One male trapped, crew carried out rescue with cutting equipment on vehicle to release male casualty. Two further casualties, both out of vehicles on arrival of fire and rescue crews. All three casualties taken to hospital via road ambulance with believed minor injuries only. Fire and rescue crews also carried out general scene safety before leaving the incident.


15:42 Western Road, Skipton

Skipton crew called after a report of a fire in the open. Crew confirmed fire in rear garden of residential property, extinguished using one hose reel jet.


16:30 Columbus Ravine, Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended after a report of a fire in the open. On arrival crew confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent, due to controlled burning under supervision.


16:45 Delwood, York

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
