Round up of incidents for – Day Shift Friday 16th April

Southolme Walk, Boroughbridge.

A crew from Boroughbridge responded to an automatic fire alarm signal at a residential property. On arrival and after investigation, crews found this to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Off Wetherby Road, Harrogate.

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough attended a residential property after reports of smoke coming from a bedroom with possible persons reported to be still in the building. On arrival, all persons were out of the building and accounted for. Crews dealt with a fire in a ground floor bedroom, 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Hose reel jet used. Police and Ambulance also in attendance.

Wiggington Road, York.

A fire crew from York were sent to an automatic fire alarm signal. On arrival, crews confirmed there had been a small fire in a power supply unit. The fire was out on arrival, crews carried out investigations with a Thermal Image Camera to ensure no fire spread. Incident then left in hands of on site engineers.

Albert Place, Harrogate

Harrogate fire crew called to reports of smoke issuing from a parked car. On arrival, crews confirmed car fire well alight. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel. The cause of the fire is believed to be due to an electrical fault in the engine compartment.
