Incident Summary Night Shift Wednesday 30th August 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

1748 – Grange Lane, York

Crews attended the scene of reported fire in the open. On arrival crews undertook a full search of the area and found no signs of fire.

 1817 – Scotton, Knaresborough

Multiple calls were received regarding a hedge fire in a residential area. Upon arrival crews found a hedge well alight and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The cause was believed to be accidental. 

 2201 – Hornby, Northallerton

A Northallerton crew were called to reports of a fire in the open. On arrival at the scene the reported fire was found to be controlled burning under supervision.

 2328 – Barrowcliff, Scarborough

A Scarborough crew were called to a report of a member of the community that had become stuck in first floor window. Crews arrived and assisted the person using a ladder to safely rescue the person.
