Incident Summary – Day Shift Sunday 19th March

 

 

10:45  Chapel Street, Thirsk

Thirsk crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and after investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

10:53  Queen Street, Scarborough

Scarborough and Filey crews attended following a report of a fire in a high rise building. On arrival, crew confirmed a fire to an electric heater was out. Crew ventilated the property and used a thermal image camera to ensure no fire spread.

 

15:24  Hull Road, York

Acomb crews attended following a report of a fire in a property. On arrival, crew confirmed a fire to a cooker in the kitchen was out. Crew ventilated the property.

 

15:48  Shipton Road, Rawcliffe, York

York crew attended and extinguished a small fire in the open. Cause believed deliberate.

 

16:09  Mount View Close, Scarborough

Scarborough crews attended a special service call. Elderly female resident with finger trapped in door. Crew used small tools to make more space in door, allowing the casualty to be released and handed over to awaiting paramedics.

 

16:36  A684 Aysgarth area

Crews attended following a report of a car stuck in floodwater with occupants inside. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm with good intent. Car located, occupant out of vehicle, to safety and in contact with recovery company.
