Incident Summary – Night Shift Saturday 22nd July

 

 

17:52 Station Road, Scalby, Scarborough

Scarborough crew sent out to a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew extinguished a fire with one hose reel jet. This appeared to be controlled burning left unattended.

 

19:52 Skeldergate, York

York crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

21:03 A19, nr Thirkelby turning

Crews from Easingwold and Thirsk attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with hydraulic cutting equipment to release one male driver trapped by an injury in his car. Crews removed the door with cutting equipment, allowing paramedics access to the casualty. Male then taken to hospital via road ambulance with suspected leg injury.

 

00:28 The Croft, Filey

Filey crew attended and extinguished a car fire using one hose reel. Cause of fire believed to be deliberate.

 

02:06 Cold Bath Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew sent to an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.

 

02:25 Upper Poppleton, York

Acomb crew attended following a report of a water leak in a property. On arrival, crews assisted by turning off stopcock and giving advice to homeowner.
